JYS Shipping for WooCommerce
Setup
After you have installed and activated plug-in, click WooCommerce > JYS Shipping to get started.
Specify your minimum shipment dimensions and weight if you have any, shipments will be at least as big as your minimum dimension and as heavy as your minimum weight.
If you encounter problems during shipment creation you can later enable Debug mode, at this time leave it to disabled.
You can automate the creation of shipments for orders based on order status, we recommend doing that when you have tested shipment creation manually first, to see that it works manually first, so at this time leave this setting to disabled.
Specify your API credentials for Jakeluyhtiö Suomi, you should have received this from them when creating an account.
Click Save at the button.
Scroll down to see that you get no warnings about your API credentials, if you get warning review your API credentials and go back to step 5.
With no warnings click WooCommerce > Settings.
Click the Shipping-tab.
If you don't have a shipping-zone for Finland, create one, if you already have one, edit it.
Add a shipping method in the Finnish zone and select method JYS Shipping, edit this method.
Specify Title, Price and Tax status
If you need advanced logic for when the method should be visible you can use the logic box, see the examples in the box description for examples. Note that Jakeluyhti Suomi will validate customer address in checkout so there is no need for you to validate that.
Click Save
Test
Visit the frontside of your store.
Place at least on physical item in your cart.
Go to checkout.
Specify a finnish address that has coverage from Jakeluyhtiö Suomi.
Validate that the shipping method is visible.
Select the JYS Shipping method in checkout.
Place order.
Visit the adminside of your store.
Edit your newly placed order.
Validate that shipping method line looks correct.
Click Process in the JYS Shipping box to the right of the order.
Validate that you get a tracking-link and shipping-label for your order.
Congratulations your testing is complete, if you want you can now activate shipping automation in the plug-in settings.
